On my 6th month on the mish, Bapa Surgawi gave to me..

A transfer call on Monday to leave for Malang on WEDNESDAY!!

As of last Wednesday, I am officially serving in Jawa Timor, in
Malang. This last week was a little hectic to say the least, but super
exciting. Last Tuesday, I had to quickly pamitan with the wonderful
people in Solo Jebres. And I am so so sooo thankful for the time I
have had there because I have grown to fall in love with Jebres, and I
am sad to have left, but excited for Malang. I am so filled with
gratitude for the members and my investigators in Jebres, and Jebres
will always have a special place in my heart :''')

Soo.. Tuesday was my farewell day in Solo, Wednesday was when I
arrived to Malang, Friday was when we went to Surabaya for Zone Conf,
terus, Sunday was when we went to Surabaya again for Konfrensi
DIstrik! A lot of traveling in just a few days and I may or may not
get motion sickness hahahahah I am ALIVE and well though :))

MALANG: a beautiful land, that is so busy! so many cars, so many
people, so many hills! everyone is smiling and the food here is
spicier than Solo (OH YA BRING IT ON BABY), and bahasa Java here is
khasar.. different than Solo juga! OK AND RUMORS ARE TRUE- IT IS
ACTUALLY COOLER HERE??? sooooo weird!! I am not sweating like I just
ran 15 miles everyday! and FOR THE FIRST TIME IN INDO I WAS ACTUALLY
COLD DURING THE DAY AND NIGHT HERE??!!

REKANKU: SISTER ROWNTREE! She is the FUNNIEST person alive. We work so
well together, and I have never laughed so hard in my life with her.
She is scared of all things bug related- including butterflies. She
loves to work hard, and she loves to sing and play the uke too! So we
are putting hymns together and primary songs and what not, and it is
great!

THE BRANCH: the members here.. luar biasa!! And my district here is so
great too! They are all filled with so much love and so much light. I
am way stoked to work with the members and the missionaries here.

We are both new to the area. Sis Rowntree has only been here for a
month, and then she went to Jakarta for a couple weeks, then came
back. And I am new.. so we are basically white washing. It is quite
the adventure, and miracles always happen when we put our best foot
forward, with faith in God, and an eye single to the glory of God.

3 Bulan di Indo :") - June 4

Mongggooo keluarga dan teman terkasihku :)

I hit my 3 months in Indo on the 1st and I hit my 6 month on this mission on the 7th.. HOW CRAZY IS THAT!! Time seriously flies. I really was just in the MTC 2 weeks ago!?!?!

Mukjizat- On Pday last week, we were cruising along and it started to rain, so then we started bike our little hearts out and head home. We were crossing this street when two bules and an Indo crossed the street on the other side, and right at that moment, we all made eye contact, and so I yelled out from the middle of the street, "WHERE ARE YOU FROM?!?!?!" We started to talk for a solid 40 minutes. The two bules are from Germany, and the Indo is from Solo! He was showing his friends around Solo and we had the chance to chat, testify of Christ, and give them a pass along card.

Later that week, we got a call from our Zone Leaders, asking us if we met a Mas Ari,, and we remembered that we met him with his German friends on Pday! Well Mas Ari decided to go on mormon.org from the pass along card, and he started to read about the Church of Jesus Christ, and then placed an order for a free copy of THE BOOK OF MORMON!! The Elders visited him and Ari said that when he met us, he was so astonished as to how there was this glow around us, and that he felt the love of Christ from us. His German friends felt the same way too.. and THAT IS THE POWER OF A PASS ALONG CARD MY FRIENDS!! Mukjizats everywhere, you just need to talk to everyone and look for God's hand in your life!!

This week has been really great though! Sis Tan and I are contacting as many people as possible and finding as many excuses to talk to people.. From having flat tires and meeting potentials at bike shops, or going into an Indomaret and contacting people in there. We really need new investigators and I have absolute faith that there is a convert, needed to be found here in Jebres!! We are not here to baptize members, we are here to teach repentance and baptize those converts.

Selamat Ramahdan!!! - May 28

OKEE this week was CRAY CRAY!! 

1- It's the most wonderful time.. of the year! The wonderful Muslim people are fasting for this month, and it just started the other day. Which means all morning, and all afternoon, we are struggling hardcore to find food. It has been quite an adventure, and I think I have already lost a couple kilos from lack of food, and just an immense amount of water in my system hahahaha. 

2- We had a MISSION WIDE conference this week. We all berkumpuled in Jakarta and heard from two General Authorities, Elder Soares and Elder Wong. I came into the meeting with a huge prayer in my heart, and let me tell you, all the questions that I had, were answered. Very, very, specific answers and I was so overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. I know that Heavenly Father has showed us the way to happiness.. it is only through this gospel! And I am so grateful to be His representative and to share this glorious message with the beautiful people in Indonesia :,,,))) 

3- We had TRANSFERS. I am still in Jebres with SISTER TANNER!! She is actually the best, and we cried happy tears when we found out we would be together. There are many reasons why I love her- she wears jandals, she is a ginger, she is hilarious, hard working, weird, and so fun. JANDALS LOVIN GINGER REKANKU. We made some really solid goals this transfer and I am so stoked to see what the Lord has in store for us here in Jebres this transfer :)) 

4- Let the Holy Spirit guide!! We had an experience this weekend where we were trying to find Bro Soetamans house and for some reason, I felt the need to take a way that I have never taken before. I am still getting used to these streets, and my new comp has no idea where to go. As we are biking along, I made a wrong turn, realized it was wrong, but had the thought that 'every wrong turn leads to somewhere'. So as we kept going, I see this man in the distance.. and it was Bro Soetaman! He was out working, and if I had not payed attention to that still small voice, then we wouldn't have found him. We had a beautiful lesson with him, and he also came to church the next day! At the end of the lesson, he asked us, "But how did you find me?" and we told him that it was only through the still small voice of the Holy Ghost. 

I LOVE JEBRES! I love being a missionary. I love Indonesia. I love the heat and the rain and I love everything about this place. Most importantly, I love my Savior and I feel so thankful to represent Him and share HIs message every single day. 

I love you all with all my heart!
