All good in the hood of JAKARTA SELATAN 25 Feb 2018

Jakarta has had some killer sunsets as of late, and it's a tender mercy for me! I know that God indeed loves me and knows that a good sunset is just what I need to get more semangat and fired up to go find and save some souls!

This week has been pretty crazy, and I only have about 7 minutes left.. SO JUST KNOW THIS WEEK WAS REALLY GOOD!!

Adel is the best and yesterday, she shared in relief society her missionary moment. On her WhatsApp group, there was a mass text of how "the mormon church is evil" yada yada yada and she responded with her testimony of how the "mormon church" is the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS! and how we believe that God is our Heavenly Father, and that Jesus is the Christ. She also shared her testimony of the Book of Mormon and what she has learned about Christ from her reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. SHE IS ALREADY A MEMBER MISSIONARY and we are looking forward for the day she enters the waters of baptism. Planning for next month for this beautiful and wonderful Ibu!!

HAPPY NEWS!! :')

Selamat pagi saudara"ku yg terkasih,

One of our beautiful investigators entered the waters of baptism and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost this weekend! I am so happy for Fena! 

I came to Indo in March, and on my third day in Jakarta, I met her at a Family Home Evening. I remember not knowing what was going on and not being able to speak Bahasa.. and then fast forward almost a year later, I get assigned to serve in Jakarta, we meet again, and we get the special opportunity to prepare her for BAPTISM!

She has been investigating for about a year, and has faced so many difficulties with almost every aspect in her life. A couple weeks ago, she finally decided that it was time to be baptized and that her opposition meant nothing compared to the choice of being baptized. It has been quite the journey for her, and we are so so happy for her. She was just crying the whole time, and when she came out of the water, she had the biggest smile on her face, and then threw her hands in her face and just cried.

There is so much joy in watching the people you love take a step closer to our Father in Heaven & our Savior Jesus Christ. Sooo many tears of joy that day! My heart:""))

MORE GOOD NEWS!! On Valentine's Day, I got to hold 8 puppy dogs all at once... I cried.. and I don't think this week could get any better with baptisms and lil pups :')

It's been one heck of a trip here in Jakarta and I am so #blessed to be here!

This week's selfie story:

The district gang heads on over to our Ward Mission leader's home for a meeting, and we run into a cute lil group of friends, in which the 6 of us POWER CONTACTED and testified of who we are, why we are here, and of the glorious message we have to share. I always feel the Spirit during a good contact with Sis Fugs & I, but this time with all 6 of us, it for sure was something out of the ordinary. :)

Hi all! Indeed a blessed week!

Full of RAIN on rain on rain. My croc got stolen, so that's been a struggle. When I say croc, I literally mean they stole one croc of mine and one of Sister Fuglsangs. hahahahahhaha SEND HELP! No worries, I got some new crocs for about 3 dollars, so score.

I would like to first say- SELAMAT ULANG TAHUN TO MY AYAHKU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAD, THE YE OLDE 53! Saya sangat bersyukur atas teladan anda dan kasih anda. Apa lagi, saya sangat bersyukur atas pengorbanan anda untuk selalu melindungi saya sama keluarga kami. Bapa Hitam Manis, YOU THE BEST!

There's something about the rain though that brings a smile to my face. Even with the wet feet, and even more crowded busways and trains, I have found that the Lord indeed provides miracles for us throughout the day. I have seen His love in the people I meet everyday, and it is another testament to me that we indeed are all children of God, and once knew each other before.

What matters most is not my missing croc (although I may be a little salty still..), but the relationship that we strive to build with our Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and our brothers and sisters around us. 

"Perhaps our life in a loving premortal world set up our yearning for true, lasting love here on Earth, We are divinely designed to give love and be loved, and the deepest love comes when we are one with God."

I am HAPPY and feel very blessed to be here. The Savior is with you! I want you all to call your mom and dad right now and tell them how grateful you are for them and how much you love them! I know that I am so grateful for my goodly parents. Terima kasih Bapa dan Mama atas semuanya<3

HAI! another blessed week in Jakarta! One of these days I will have the chance to pour out my soul, but today.. HERE ARE FOTOS! THEY R GOOD FOR THE SOUL!

I am loving everyone and everything here, and lately, my heart has really been filled to the brim with gratitude that Heavenly Father has entrusted me to teach our special investigators, and to work with such incredible members. It is my testimony that Heavenly Father indeed loves us. Because of the love we feel from Him, I know that it is our duty to love others as He loves us!

bless up, the work is alive and thriving here in Indonesia.
